When someone moves on to a new career or even a new zip code be sure to mark the occasion by throwing a good luck party before they leave. So often friends and loved ones leave our lives so quickly and many times it’s before we can tell them how much they have impacted our lives.
But go easy on yourself: hit up a wholesale club. Stock up on pizza and sausage rolls, mini quiche, slow cooker meatball vegetable stew — things you just heat up on trays. Also load up on tortillas, cream cheese and lunch meat: roll together, slice into rounds and secure with toothpicks, and you have a big crowd pleaser. (Don’t bother with too much raw broccoli.) Pour something sparkly and sweet into plastic champagne or martini glasses served from trays, and you’ve got happy teens.
Remember to watch what you eat. Eating junk food doesn’t help anyone feel good, and it’s an especially bad idea when your mood is already low from cold, gloomy weather. Be sure you’re getting plenty of protein and good fats in your diet. Good fats are those that have nourished humans campbell’s soup meatballs centuries – butter, coconut oil, olive oil, animal fats, and fish oils. Avoid industrial oils like corn oil and soybean oil. Fish oils are especially good at helping lift the mood so try and include seafood in your diet and supplement with cod liver oil.

You can use any kind of quinoa meatballs stew for this soup but the red variety seems to have more texture than the others do which can go mushy. You might like to add mushrooms or celery to this recipe too.
A few companies now make a cooker with it’s own carry bag with handles, etc. to take along to family gatherings and picnics. A way around this if yours isn’t this fancy, just find a sturdy cardboard box, line it with a plastic bag and some newspaper for additional padding and then add your slow cooker. Be sure to hold at the bottom while transporting so it doesn’t spill. Once you get back home you can just keep that box for your next cooking adventure.
Personally, I’d rather have the kitchen gadgets. The joy I obtain from brewing tea in mom’s stained pot to baking a cake in the pan of a million marks is much more valuable than money.
